Wear The Red Jacket!
Hello Lovely! During this past Winter, I started thinking about how the clothing I wear has transformed. Maybe not something others would have noticed, and that’s fine, but its something I’ve noticed. I’m feeling more empowered within myself…let me explain… On a whim during a date with my husband, we decided to go in a Goodwill. Right when we walked in there was a display on mannequins with Valentines Day inspired outfits. Lots of reds and pinks, some tiny hearts design on a blouse. Yet my eyes were drawn in by this beautiful shade of a red jacket on one of the mannequins. As we walked through the store, I…

In this blog we’ll be talking about the ever so glamorous 1930’s. Much like the 1920’s, beauty trends were highly influenced by the Hollywood stars of the silver screen. Through The Decades Series-1920’s
Hello Lovely! Welcome to the first post of the Through The Decades Series. During this series I’ll be talking about the beauty trends popular during these times. I hope this series inspires you to try trends of the past, and learn about how far the beauty industry has come. You are probably wondering why I’m starting off in 1920’s rather than the 1910’s. This is because I find the 1920’s to be the turn and the start to a revolution. Women started to rebel, and break from the norm. Daring to be different, these women’s relaxed style showed their rejection of the Victorian days, and also came to symbolize the…

Preventing Wrinkles One Face Mask At A Time!
Hello Lovely! Last week I talked about 8 Tips To A Better Skin Care Routine. Which brings me to something many of us don’t pay attention to until it’s too late. WRINKLES! This is something we should be taking care of BEFORE it happens, not waiting till after. It’s harder to reverse wrinkles, than it is to prevent wrinkles. So no, you aren’t too young to be using an anti wrinkle cream. Two important things you can do to help prevent wrinkles are drinking water, and moisturizing your skin. Also like I mentioned above, making your moisturizer an anti wrinkle cream wouldn’t be a terrible idea as well. Another thing…

New Year, New You, Am I Right!?!
Hello Lovely! Were closing up another year, and it’s that time where we reflect back. Was it a good year? Did you have many blessings? Are there things you wish had gone differently? Can we change for the better this coming year? With all your reflection, I hope you have been able to grow from it. I believe everything we go through in life is meant as a way of teaching us something. We are meant to constantly grow and learn, don’t ever forget that! You should strive to always become a better you, improving as you age. This doesn’t mean change who you are, but let your mind and…

How Often Do You Clean Your Makeup Brushes?!
Hello Lovely! I hate to admit this, but as much as I do my makeup, I really don’t clean my makeup brushes enough. After lots of research, it is recommended to wash your brushes at least once a week. But if you have sensitive skin, or are prone to breakouts, you may want to consider washing them after every use. Looks like I should probably make a habit of doing it at least weekly. Maybe that could be a New Years resolution haha, wish me luck on that one! Its really important to clean your beauty tools often. Makeup brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria, plus they harbor dirt…

Holiday Twist
Hello Lovely! As I write this, I’m totally enthralled into a Netflix Christmas movie, you know the super cheesy ones (just like those Hallmark Christmas movies haha), but you literally just CAN’T turn off…yea, its one of those! But it just isn’t the holiday season without them, right?! So any who, coincidentally in this movie the lead character is wearing a VERY similar hair style to the one I’m going to talk about. Perfect for the Holiday season, and can easily be dressed up or down. Not to mention its easy enough for you to tackle on your own! You know for when you just can’t get in to see…
