How To Find The PERFECT Lipstick Shade
Hello Lovely!
How many times have you bought that gorgeous lipstick shade, only to find out at home it is a complete flop for you?! Some of us aren’t lucky enough to be able to rock any and all shades of lipsticks. Maybe in some perfect world we could be THAT lucky, but not today girl, not today. But in the case you are THAT lucky, oh I envy you, so so much envy.
So I have come up with a guide to aim you on the right path to that oh so perfect shade. Although, if you want to rock any shade your heart desires, I will be your BIGGEST cheerleader! Be confident, be sassy, be absolutely 100% YOU! Remember this is just a guide, not a do or die list haha.
Step 1. Determine your skin color.
Fair/Light Skin- You can choose from classic red, red with pink undertones, to blue toned pinks.
Olive/Medium Skin- You can choose from brick-red, cranberry pink, to classic nude.
Ebony/Dark Skin- You can choose from orange, brown red, dark beige, to burgundy.
Step 2. Determine your skins undertone.
- You’re cool-toned if your skin looks to have a blue, red, or pink tinge to it. Step outside in the sun, look at the inside of your wrist, your veins will look blue or purple.
Lip colors BEST for you: Blue toned purples, rosy pinks, magenta, blue reds, and pink reds.
- You’re warm-toned if your skin looks to have a yellow or peach tinge to it. Step outside in the sun, look at the inside of your wrist, your veins will look green or olive.
Lip colors BEST for you: Shades of coral, peach, fiery red/orange-red, warm beige, and tangerine.
- You’re neutral-toned if your skin looks neither blue or yellow in the sunlight, and your veins are blue-green (instead of one or the other). If you’re neutral, you are more likely to be able to wear lots of different lipstick shades.
