How To Get Flawless Twisted Buns

Hello Lovely!

Are you looking for an easy updo that you can do yourself, requires NO skills, and can be used as a formal OR casual hairstyle?!?! Well then I have the perfect updo for you. This style is meant to be “messy”, so if you think you “messed it up”, it will be easily hidden in this beautiful mess haha.

Things You’ll Need:

• Small Elastic Hair Ties
• Bobby Pins
• Curling Iron (Not necessary, so don’t panic if you don’t have one.)

Step 1. You will want to start out with loose curls. But like I said before, its not necessary. You can completely skip this step, and your end result will still turn out awesome. This step only makes it a little bit easier when moving the hair into place later.

Step 2. Section your hair into three sections. Tie each section off with an elastic hair tie. It should look like you have three low pony tails.

Step 3. Go to one section, split the hair in two sections, then twist, and finish with an elastic hair tie on the end. Think kind of like a braid but with only two pieces twisting together. You will do this to all three sections.

Step 4. Wrap pony tail twist into bun, pin up with bobby pins. Do this in all three sections.

Step 5. This is when I like to pull pieces, giving the hairstyle a more loose feel. There is no correct way of doing this, so don’t think you are doing it a wrong way. You can do a little or a lot, totally up to you. I not only pull from the buns, but also the top sections as well where you pulled the hair back. Make sure to use bobby pins to secure pieces as you pull from the bun. You don’t want to have floppy buns, keep those babies nice and secure. If you enjoy more of a sleek, smooth look, you can totally skip this step all together.

Step 6. Don’t forget to hairspray your finished look! You want to stay flawless all day/night.
