Through The Decades Series-1930’s
Hello Lovely! Welcome to the second post of the Through The Decades Series. During this series I’ll be talking about the beauty trends popular during these times. If you missed my first post all about the 1920’s, you can check it out here. I hope this series inspires you to try trends of the past, and learn about how far the beauty industry has come. In this blog we’ll be talking about the ever so glamorous 1930’s. Much like the 1920’s, beauty trends were highly influenced by the Hollywood stars of the silver screen. They brought a desirable charm that led the entire country to follow. These silver screen stars…

Through The Decades Series-1920’s
Hello Lovely! Welcome to the first post of the Through The Decades Series. During this series I’ll be talking about the beauty trends popular during these times. I hope this series inspires you to try trends of the past, and learn about how far the beauty industry has come. You are probably wondering why I’m starting off in 1920’s rather than the 1910’s. This is because I find the 1920’s to be the turn and the start to a revolution. Women started to rebel, and break from the norm. Daring to be different, these women’s relaxed style showed their rejection of the Victorian days, and also came to symbolize the…

How Often Do You Clean Your Makeup Brushes?!
Hello Lovely! I hate to admit this, but as much as I do my makeup, I really don’t clean my makeup brushes enough. After lots of research, it is recommended to wash your brushes at least once a week. But if you have sensitive skin, or are prone to breakouts, you may want to consider washing them after every use. Looks like I should probably make a habit of doing it at least weekly. Maybe that could be a New Years resolution haha, wish me luck on that one! Its really important to clean your beauty tools often. Makeup brushes are a breeding ground for bacteria, plus they harbor dirt…

Do You Even Bake Girl?!
Hello Lovely! Today I’m going to talk about baking. No, not the type you do in the kitchen. The kind of baking you do on your face. Yea, I know what you are probably thinking…”What in the world is baking your face?!?!” Don’t feel bad, I literally didn’t fully know what baking your face entailed till today. Sooo you aren’t too far off from me haha. Baking your face is when you use a translucent or tinted powder to “bake” or set on your highlight points for 5-10 minutes. This allows your face to essentially warm the powder, and really set your foundation and concealer into your skin, leaving you…
